I feel sad whenever I see an obese dog because the owner of the dog has ignored his or her pet and did not worry whether their dog had enough exercise or not. Dogs should be healthy but not fat. Many of us have a wrong definition for our dog’s good health. If their dog is fat and big, they think that it is very healthy and they are very happy with the dog food that they have selected for their pet. Unfortunately, that is not the correct way to assess your dog’s health. A healthy dog will be active, robust and it will have a shiny coat. Obesity is certainly not good for your dog as it leads to other heath related problems that will reduce the life span of your dog. I have lost a wonderful companion of mine years ago because of my ignorance and I was feeding it with all wrong food and gave the dog no exercise.
