I work a couple of days a week at a local newspaper as a receptionist.  Specifically, I am paid to take all the orders for classified ads for the paper that are received over the phone.  Depending on the day of the week, there are different ads that I receive.

For example, as it gets closer to the weekend, we receive a lot of land for sale ads.  In fact, that is what I love the most about my job.  You see, I find it really cool that I get to be the first to know what land investment deals are available before the public knows.  It is almost like I have insider information and know before everyone else.

Today, I was able to find out about a UK land deal today that I looked into.  Sure, it was a bit out of my price range, but I was able to show the deal to a buddy of mine, who might invest in it.  Yes, I do love my job.

I have never been so angry in my whole life. When I got that phone bill, I was absolutely fuming. I had called several 800 numbers, trying to claim a prize that the certificate I received in the mail stated was mine. Shortly after I called the number, I was transferred and when I got my bill, I found out that I had to pay for the call from the point that I was transferred from.

I feel like I was scammed and I know that there is absolutely nothing that I can do about it now. I will not be so stupid next time. If it seems to good to be true than chances are, it probably is.
If I am ever on hold with a toll free service again and they want to transfer me, I will hang up instantly. I have vowed never to fall for this again.

I have been thinking for a long time as to what type of website I should setup.  I already have a small network of sites, so I didn’t think that I needed to create something simply to make money.  In fact, I just wanted to make a site that would help people out.

After careful consideration, I decided that I wanted to focus on something that would help a lot of people: auto insurance.

Now my reasoning behind this as the subject of my website, is that statistically, most people are paying too much for their car insurance.  Since I feel that we should all be on the same playing field, my site was going to provide visitors with auto insurance quotes from the major insurance providers to help them make an educated decision.

I have some of the details ironed out, but there is still a ways to go.  I think once the site is finally up, it will be very popular - that would mean that I have succeeded.

The one thing that I learned early on in business, is that if I try to do everything myself, I would fail.  There is just so many things that need to be done on a daily basis, that unless I was Superman, I couldn’t get them all done.  If some of these jobs were left undone, it would only translate into more problems in the future.

So I decided if that I had a task that needed to be done that I didn’t need to do directly, I would pay someone to do it.  It made no sense for me to tie up my time doing something that someone else could do, as the time that I would free up would allow me to create a bigger and better business.

Such things as payroll, our business logo design, and cleaning the office are prime examples of tasks that I have outsourced.  Sure, it increases our expenses, but I know that I can create more business that will make up for the increased expenses. 

Outsourcing is definitely the key to my business success.

When I first saw the iPhone, I knew that I had to have one. I am a big fan of my iPod and I knew that the phone would be great. I have always found that they had great quality and sound. I was disappointed that I could not seem to find one where I live, so I eventually purchased it from an electronics website.

The day the phone arrived was like Christmas for me. I began to look for free iPhone ringtones and song downloads. I couldn’t wait to call people, as I am a very chatty person. I had to show it to my friends, feeling a little bit proud that I was the first one in the gang to own one.

As I have always liked the Mac products, I was not disappointed with the phone and I can’t wait to see what they come up with next.
