I picked up a copy of the newspaper the other day, just so that I could look through the Long Island classifieds. My daughter will be going to a new teaching job there in the fall and we would like to help her get settled. We thought that we may as well get started sooner as opposed to later.

I thumbed through the Long Island real estate for sale. Chances are she will just find an apartment to rent, until she decides that she likes it there and would like to stay on permanently. But, I thought it wouldn’t hurt to look and see if there were any deals that were to good to refuse in the for sale section. We actually found a couple that we would like to look at.

We also got a copy of the Long Island business directory, so that she could learn exactly where everything is and she would maybe feel a little bit less lost. It is going to be a hard change for her, but we are proud of her and know that she will do very well on her own. She is very mature and responsible and this will be an adventure for her.
