For the longest time at our coffee shop, we have offered the customers the option of paying cash or debit, but never credit card.  The reasoning behind the decision (according to the boss) is that since most of our transactions are small, it would cut into our profits, making it not worthwhile to the business.

But, from time to time, one of our patrons would have a little “chat” with the boss, expressing their desire for us to have some sort of credit card processing available.

I think it really struck a blow to our business, when we lost some of our regulars to the competition when they started to offer credit card payments for their customers.  At one point we were even worried that we might not survive the competition.

Thankfully, our customers did come back as we offered better quality food and friendlier service than the competition.  But, our customers and our boss still argue over whether or not we should accept credit card payments.

Ever since I was a little baby I had problems getting to sleep.  I can remember the stories that my mother tells of having to either have music on to soothe me to sleep or have the fan on - I just wouldn’t go to sleep on my own.

Sadly, the same problem has continued into my adult years.  Sure, I don’t listen to the same children’s songs anymore, but I have had issues addressing my sleeping problems.  My biggest problems have been that no matter what I have tried, any method I use to help myself to sleep becomes less and less effective.

But after many years, I think that I may have found a solution.  You see, I picked up a couple of white noise generators at a store, and so far, they seem to work miraculously well.  Sure, it has only been a couple of days, but they have been the best few nights of sleep that I have had in a long time.

What remains to be seen is if their effectiveness wears off, but from reviews posted online, it looks like I might have found the one thing that will make my sleep normal for the first time in my life.  I guess I will just have to wait and see if that holds true for me.

Once in awhile, I go to the used clothing shop to see if I can find a new outfit, or something unique to wear.  Sure, there are some strange things that you can find there, but usually, I am able to leave with something unique to wear.

The shop started off like normal looking in the men’s section for some clothes.  I found a couple of T-shirts and a pair of corduroy pants - a little retro look for me.  But honestly, there was nothing else of real interest for me.

My wife suggested that we take a look in the ladies section, and I was a little shocked of what you could buy there.  You could find bras and stockings on hangers in the section and I had to wonder if anyone would buy used undergarments - I know I sure wouldn’t.

But, we both left the store with a new wardrobe to wear - all on a budget of ten bucks.  I think it was a successful shopping trip for us.

I thought that I would go down today to the travel agency near my house.  I thought that if I went down there I could find out if they had any deals on travel at the moment.  I would have liked it if they could just mail me the deals, but for whatever reason, they don’t offer that service.

So, I took a walk down to the travel agency because it was a bright and sunny day.  It has been awhile since it was as nice as it is out, and I had to take advantage of it.

Once I made it down to the travel agency, I asked an agent if they had any deals on worldwide trips and tours.  She showed me some of their deals and sent me home with some pamphlets to show the wife.

It was a nice walk home and I can’t wait until the wife gets home from work - I think she will like what I have found.

I learned recently that you don’t have to buy a motorcycle on your own, but you can have someone represent your interests much like a realtor does for real estate.  In fact, all you really have to do is specify what you are looking for, and they will do the work for you.

Once I had learned of this, I hired a cycle trader and met with him for coffee to discuss my needs.  I was looking for a nice beginner bike (if there is such a thing) as it was going to be my first motorcycle.  I was really looking for a used bike because I didn’t know if that was really what I wanted to do.

So, he told me that he would get back to me in a few days with some options from me.  I haven’t heard from him yet, but I can’t wait to see what he has for me - I will be on the open road, riding in no time.
